Abstract
A cooperative institute is a collaborative partnership between a government agency, such as NOAA, and academic or research institutions to advance scientific knowledge and innovation in specialized fields like climate science, oceanography, or data analysis. The Cooperative Institute for Earth System Research and Data Science (CIESRDS), a joint effort between NOAA and the University of Colorado Boulder, focuses on Earth system research, tackling critical topics such as atmospheric changes, climate prediction, space weather, and environmental data science to support informed decision-making and societal resilience. Almost 400 CIRES employees are funded by the CIESRDS award with NOAA.
This poster will seek to educate CIRES employees about the cooperative agreement and its importance to CIRES.
