Abstract

We installed a scanning Doppler lidar on an aircraft also equipped with chemical sensors, and flew loops around a metropolitan area. The Doppler lidar provided wind profiles, mixed layer height, and mixing information along the flight track to constrain uncertainties and improve quantification of emission estimates inside the flight loop.
