CPP-07. Navigating the New Arctic Community Office

Abstract
Navigating the New Arctic (NNA) is one of the National Science Foundation’s “10 Big Ideas” and funds over 100 unique research, planning, and training projects that address challenges in the rapidly changing Arctic. The Navigating the New Arctic Community Office (NNA-CO) supports this mission by building partnerships, opportunities, and resources for collaboration and equitable knowledge generation within, amongst, and beyond the research projects funded by the NNA program. The NNA-CO increases recognition of Indigenous knowledge and data sovereignty; promotes inclusive and collaborative research design and implementation; supports open science approaches, and coordinates effective knowledge dissemination, education, and outreach. As a partnership between CU Boulder, Alaska Pacific University, and the University of Alaska Fairbanks, the NNA-CO engages across Alaska and throughout the international Arctic. (Website: nna-co.org).
