EO-08. Applications of virtual and augmented reality (VR) learning as education tools

Abstract
CIRES Education & Outreach connects science with educators, learners, and communities. We strive to make research data accessible, inspire environmental action, and empower curiosity and scientific engagement. We provide accessible, inclusive, high-quality environmental science curriculum and informal learning experiences, as well as meaningful professional and career development opportunities. Virtual Reality is an increasingly popular tool being used in classrooms, museums, planetariums, and at home to learn about environments the viewer can’t access otherwise. This poster showcases current CIRES E&O Virtual Reality projects and research as examples of ways to collaborate and partner and describes some of the expertise the CIRES E&O Program can bring to your project.
